A Blessing of the Animals is a ceremony that honors all creatures and the bond between humans and animals. We are hosting this event offering a prayer or dedication, a verbal blessing, and a sprinkling of holy water on the animals.

Pet owners do this for various reasons, including:
*Feeling better about a pet's place in life
*Confirmation that a pet is part of the family
*Reassurance that God is watching over a pet
*A reminder of the creation of God

We would love to partner with pet-friendly organizations, such as Adopt-A-Pet, shelters, or rescue organizations, so please let us know if you would like to join us in the Courtyard.

Some people bring their pets to church, others bring photographs of their pets and some have their pets blessed by naming them, whichever makes you more comfortable.
